ROOFTOP DECK
Domino Dreams was designed not from the ground up but from the roof deck down with the vision and concept to optimize the staggering 360 views and island breezes that surround you. The tour of the home really must begin at the very top ~ the roof deck, Domino’s standout and recognizable feature.
An easily accessible stairwell leads to the rooftop deck that boasts the highest view on the island. An open air space to enjoy your morning coffee or sunset glass of wine. You'll overlook Bita Bay, Long Bay and White Sound. You can watch the sunrise or gauge the chop of the water. Useful in so many ways!
The roof deck has comfortable and reclinable chaise lounge seating with Sunbrella cushions. Did we mention stargazing? You’ve never seen the stars so bright.
SUITE DREAMS
You can face the day at your own pace in Suite Dreams.
Below the rooftop deck sits Suite Dreams, the elevated master suite. This too is an experience all of its own. Perfect for that couple that would appreciate privacy from their kids or other occupants of the house. This special space has its own separate and private screened porch with a commanding view to the Atlantic Ocean just steps away. A hammock sways gently inviting you to take an island nap and a seating area with chairs and a table for a morning cup of coffee or evening glass of wine overlooking beautiful Long Bay.
Other features of the Suite Dreams level are the en-suite bathroom with a shabby chic double vanity and linen cabinet, the new king bed dressed in quality bed linens, a cozy reading chair and ottoman to curl up in, retro mini fridge, microwave and coffee station. You won't have to tiptoe downstairs for that middle of the night drink of water or first cup of morning coffee.
Just open up the double French doors, the windows and enjoy the refreshing, soothing salty air. Let the sound of the ocean lull you to sleep. There is an individually controlled mini split air conditioning unit for your sleeping comfort as well. There is a 40” smart TV/DVD set up with Direct TV and a strong WiFi connection for streaming services.
DOMINO MAIN
Domino’s main level has an open concept space with high vaulted ceilings that holds the fully equipped kitchen and living area. The home has AC throughout yet we’re situated to catch all those delicious island breezes. The living area has a 50” wall mounted smart TV equipped with Direct TV and streaming services.
The leather couch pulls out to a queen bed to sleep 2. Double French doors lead out to a spacious screened porch on main level adjacent to an open air deck. The main level bedroom is comfortable and roomy with a queen bed and your own individually controlled AC unit. The main level bathroom is adjacent and fully stocked with bath, beach towels and hair dryer.
Just off from the living area and through the French doors is a large screened porch with a four-top rattan table for alfresco dining or playing games. A propane grill stands at the ready for you to cook up your catch of the day!
GARDEN DOMINO
Our hot/cold outdoor shower down on the ground level comes equipped with a rain shower head and a private convenient space to wash off the salt and the sand. It has a changing room too. This is especially enjoyed as a hot early am start to the day.
There is also a foot shower at the base of the house stairs as you make your way back from the nearby beaches.

Domino’s Story
The Domino is a custom designed beach cottage completed in 2014. Renovated and refreshed in 2020 after Hurricane Dorian.
The first trip to Abaco was in 1998.
Sigh.
It was love at first sight.
Those who get it get it.
And so began this particular love story of the out islands.
The love story then evolved into a long time pursuit and long held dream to own a piece of the rock.
Fast forward.
Green Turtle Cay. 2006.
From Day One. It was home.
In 2012 we purchased site unseen Lot 6 situated in what I deem the “Goldilocks” neighborhood of Bita Bay beach.
Not too close. Not too far. “Just right” to everything and everywhere.
We immediately set about to find and hire an architect that could give us the needed vision and an executable design plan for an elevated ocean view within the Lot 6 footprint.
The next decision was to hire an out island builder that could and would execute on the 25 page house plan.
A successful collaboration.
A true Dream Team.
And so the story goes that the Domino, a uniquely designed and masterfully constructed beach cottage was completed Summer of 2014.
For 5 wonderful years we hosted friends, guests and guests turned friends.
In 2019 the Domino survived Hurricane Dorian, the most powerful and dread Category 5 hurricane on record to ever hit the Bahamas.
She was then put to a higher service as a refuge and respite space providing a sheltering spot as the island worked toward a recovery.
In 2021 we welcomed guests back to the better than ever Domino.
We remain grateful.
And so our Domino story continues.
